What's New

California AB 1953 & NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G Certification

Recently we have received requests from customers asking for information on our products and the California Lead Initiative. As you may know, on January 1, 2010 legislation will go into effect in California limiting the lead content in plumbing fittings or fixtures intended to convey or dispense water for human consumption, California AB 1953. To address this initiative an American National Standard, known as Annex G, NSF/ANSI 61, was developed to determine product compliance with the 0.25% maximum weighted average lead content.

Over the past year we have worked closely with our supply partners and certification agency to bring our customers the highest quality product possible in compliance with this initiative. Currently Pentair Residential Filtration, through the Water Quality Association (“WQA”), has certified a significant portion of its multi-port valves to Annex G, NSF/ANSI 61 as tested by the WQA Gold Seal program. For a listing of certified products please visit www.wqa.org.*
